AGENTS
Agents of the Sumter Expo Committee
will be present during the event and will be wearing special
identification. They will be available to aid
you should questions arise.
CANCELLATIONS
Cancellations in writing received
before March 1, 2008 will receive a 75 percent refund. Cancellations
received after that date will not be eligible for any refund.
SKIRTS
FOR TABLES
The six-foot table provided with
your booth will come with skirting. You may, however, use
your own skirting by removing the skirting provided on set-up
day.
EXHIBIT
AREAS
Exhibit areas are limited to
those booth numbers assigned to each exhibitor. Exhibits
must not exceed eight feet in height. Exhibits must be constructed
so as not to obstruct the general view or the view of adjoining
booths. Permission to display equipment taller than eight
feet must be obtained in writing to the Sumter Chamber of
Commerce Committee, and the exhibitor will be advised of
booth locations which meet those requirements. Exhibitors
are encouraged to distribute samples, catalogs, pamphlets,
souvenirs, and so forth; however, you may do so only from
within your booth.
EXHIBIT
BOOTH
Exhibit booths consists of an
8’ deep x 10’ wide space containing drapery,
hardware, one six-foot skirted table, one sign bearing the
name of the firm, one chair, and 110v electricity (except
booths 33-52 in the middle aisle).
LIABILITY
The exhibitor will release, indemnify,
and hold harmless The Greater Sumter Chamber of Commerce,
the Sumter County Exhibition Center,Displays Unlimited,
their members, directors, officers, agents, representatives,
and employees, against any costs, expenses (including attorney’s
fees), and liabilities whatsoever arising from this agreement
or the exhibitor participating in the Sumter Expo 2008 events
at the Sumter County Exhibition Center.
MOVE-IN/MOVE-OUT
DATE & TIME
All equipment and displays must
be set up on Friday, March 14, 2008 between the hours of
9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Spaces not occupied by 2 p.m., March 14,
2008 will be forfeited by the exhibitor (unless the Sumter
Chamber of Commerce received prior notification); and that
space may be
resold, reassigned, or used by the Sumter Chamber of Commerce
without refund. Displays must not be dismantled until March
15, 2008 between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. All
exhibits must be dismantled and removed from the exhibit
area by 6:00 p.m., on Saturday, March 15,
2008. The exhibitor authorizes the Sumter Chamber of Commerce
to remove, at the exhibitor’s expense, any material
in the exhibit area belonging to said exhibitor after 6:00
p.m., March 15, 2008.
BOOTH
AWARDS
This year, the Expo Committee
will again be presenting awards to five lucky vendors! The
theme is “Spring Fling.”
PAYMENT
SCHEDULE
Full payment of the total amount
due for your booth must be remitted with your completed
registration form. The form should be returned to the Chamber
of Commerce as soon as possible to guarantee your exhibit
space. Remember,
booth rates go up $50.00 after February 15, 2008.
PROHIBITIONS
Subleasing or sharing booths
or a part of a booth is NOT permitted. Exhibits, signs,
or displays are prohibited in any of the public rooms or
elsewhere on the premises of the Sumter County Exhibition
Center during the Expo. Aisle space may not be used for
exhibit purposes, displays, or signs; or for solicitation
or distribution of cards, circulars, samples, or other promotional
materials. ABSOLUTELY NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES CAN BE SERVED
FROM BOOTHS. THIS WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED. EXHIBITORS
WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO HAVE A DOUBLE BOOTH ON THE ENDS OF
THE ISLES. NO ELECTRICITY WILL BE AVAILABLE IN BOOTHS 33-52.
RESERVATIONS
FOR SPACE
Reservations will be made in
the order in which signed contracts and payments are received.
Available space will be assigned on a first-come, first-served
basis. The Chamber of Commerce reserves the right to relocate
display areas for the benefit of Expo 2008 and in accordance
with electrical requirements.
SOUND
DEVICES
The use of sound devices, megaphones,
loudspeakers, or undignified methods of attracting attention
is prohibited where such methods interfere with other exhibitors.
The volume of noise must be kept to a minimum. The Greater
Sumter Chamber of Commerce will have final say concerning
noise levels.
SECURITY
Exhibitors are responsible for
all items in their booths during open exhibition hours.
Expo 2008 will provide security guards for non-exhibition
hours. Neither the Chamber of Commerce nor the Sumter County
Exhibition Center assumes liability for lost, stolen, or
damaged items.
